TRANSIT POLICE  (May 21, 2004) 
The Metro Vancouver transit system is a unique environment with unique policing needs. On May 21, 2004, the Transit Police were approved by the Solicitor General as a Designated Policing Unit and began to operate as a fully constituted police service in December 2005.
