KILDONAN POLICE SERVICE (MB)
(1914
-1974) AMALGAMATED WITH WINNIPEG POLICE SERVICE
The
Rural Municipality of East Kildonan was formed in 1914 and at the time
included the area of Old Kildonan. The two municipalities divided in 1925
and maintained separate Police forces. In 1972, the the East Kildonan Police
(39 members) absorbed the North Kildonan Police (18 members) in preparation
for the complete amalgamation of all forces into the City of Winnipeg Police
in 1974.
