KILDONAN POLICE DEPARTMENT (MB)

AMALGAMATED WITH WINNIPEG POLICE SERVICE ON OCTOBER 1974
The
Rural Municipality of Old Kildonan was originally part of the Rural Municipality
of East Kildonan (formed in 1914). The two municipalities divided in 1925
and maintained separate Police forces. In 1972, the Old Kildonan-West St.
Paul Police Department (7 members) was absorbed by the West Kildonan Police
Department (22 members) in preparation for the complete amalgamation of
all forces in 1974.
